Album Notes

Step out of the taxi and onto the walk. The street fills with conversation, the sound of traffic, and a distant melodic pulse - a quick jazz riff, a blue note hangs in the air, and the nearby sound of Broadway beams. Down the steps and to the right, down the hall and to the back where the lights are dim and the tables set with a single flame. The trio sets the mood with a familiar tune - a two-drink minimum and a smokey haze. For an old friend or lover, the glasses raise - a dry, a twist, or a mix on the rocks. The lights fade to black, and the spotlight gleams. The 10 o'clock show is about to begin...this one's on me.
