Shane Searles is a NYC-based singer/songwriter with a talent for infectiously catchy pop songs. With influences ranging from bands like Weezer, Jellyfish, and Catherine Wheel, he crafts short, simple, get-straight-to-the-point melodies which will stick to your brain for days on end.

Originally from Portland, Oregon, Shane was inducted into the life of music at an early age. His mother is a world-renowned classical harpist, and he is also related to Mike Love and Brian Wilson of the seminal pop group The Beach Boys.

Having been in several bands since his teens, his most recent group, Posterchild, enjoyed success in the local NYC music scene until its break-up in mid-2004. His first solo effort is a virtual collage of pop/rock tunes appropriately titled. . .Pop/Rock -- and contains his fresh, up-tempo take on the Beach Boys classic "God Only Knows."
