A voice with soul that sings about issues everyone relates too.

Jen's second disc shows maturity as well as the benefits of having a studio at her disposal. Her lyrics are very personal, but easy to relate to; and that's what makes this CD great- when a woman with soul can sing about the issues that face you in everyday life, they somehow get a little better. Not My Thing (Track 8) is one of those tracks that one can listen to over and over again, and will end up on everyone's summer mix tape. The real reason this album is a must have though is how well produced it is- like a Steely Dan album, the instruments support each other instead of competing, and the ultimate goal is acheived by making solid songs that are as crisp and as listenable as they come.
