Share seems to stand in between the genres we grew up around and look at them with pencil in hand and create songs somewhere in between what we find familiar. The melodies are refreshing, lyrics worthwhile, with Escher-like scaffolding.

Album Notes

Originally sprouting from the small town of Chipman, New Brunswick, Andrew Sisk's innate curiosity drew him to the soul of Canada's bigger cities. During his explorations of trail and territory, he penned his new stories as songs. After settling in Halifax, NS, he began recording his sentiments, and observations with the help of his old band mate, A.A. Wallace. From this point, the Share project emerged as a true passion for Sisk.

Sisk sings of parking lots and open fields, cityscapes and dirt roads on his first album, Ukulele Tragic (2005). The 2006 sophomore release, Can Can Missile, was a personal experiment that detailed "the life flashing before your eyes" experience Sisk had after a serious car accident.

Share has made several radio appearences, the highlights being a guest and performer on CKDU's radio cooking show Let's Get Baked in November 2005, a feature spot on CBC's the Vinyl Cafe, as well as several spots on CBC radio one's morning programs. He has developed a reputation for innovative songs with lyrics worth listening to.

With the recent permanent addition of Kyle Cunjak on Acoustic Double Bass and Nick Cobham on Guitar Share is now a dynamic live band and has surpassed the realm of solo singer songwriter. Share has performed regularly and has developed a growing fan base in the Maritimes. They completed a cross Canada tour this past spring which promoted the second album, Can Can Missile, helping it chart on Campus radio stations across the country.

Although Share's first album was a quiet acoustic folk album, the sophomore Can Can Missile was an experimental electro rock adventure. The third release, Pedestrian, is a mature settling between the two sounds that captures the beauty of the newly formed trio.
