Album Notes

Described by MessianicMusic.com as “One of the Messianic Movement’s finest”, Sharon Huckel has been blessed with a voice that has touched many. Sharon Huckel’s three recordings have included contributions from international recording artist Paul Wilbur, seminal Messianic band, Israel’s Hope, and acclaimed songwriter Steffi Rubin, author of the worship classic, “The Trees of the Field”.

"Courts of Praise" is a delightful blend of modern worship and praise music with Sharon's classic Jewish flair. The CD also includes a selection of outstanding covers and standards, including Melody Green's Messianic worship favorite, "There is a Redeemer", and a Celtic/folk take on the classic hymn, "Take My Life". Cuts from “Courts of Praise” are receiving airplay on the South Jersey-based Christian radio station Hope 90.5 FM and world-wide on various internet radio stations, including Israel based radio station InspiredFaith.org.

Sharon grew up in Philadelphia where she studied voice at the renowned Settlement Music School and began performing as a soloist at the age of twelve. Later Sharon would turn down a vocalist scholarship to Juliard - choosing instead to focus on raising her children and supporting her husband in ministry. God soon honored Sharon's faithfulness when Chosen People Ministries commissioned her warmly received first recording, "For Zion's Sake".

Sharon’s latest CD, "Courts of Praise", begins with "Out of Zion's" plaintive cry... "From the first we have wandered, far from where we belong"… with an acoustic rock backing and jazz-inflected harmonies that build to a majestic chorus. Other stand-out tracks include the lovely ballad, "Remember Me", which draws inspiration from the Bible story of Hannah, mother of Samuel, and the instant Purim classic "Such a Time as This" - complete with dueling Klezmer clarinet and violin.

The “Courts of Praise” CD is available through CDBaby, as well as being available via digital download at iTunes. Sharon Huckel's two previous recordings, "For Zion's Sake" and "Tabernacle" are also available on CDBaby or through Hananeel Ministries at www.hananeel.com.

I bought 3 Cds by Sharon Huckel. Courts of Praise, Tabernacle, and For Zion's Sake. They are all just wonderful! I wish I had known about them before - they should have been in my huge collection of Messianic music a long time ago! I highly recommend them. Dolores

Great songs. Great voice. It truly is a pleasure listening to this CD. Not only that, but unlike some Messianic indie projects the production quality here is first rate! The CD sounds awesome in my car, on my little CD player in my kitchen, and even on my laptop. This CD is a blessing.
