Pandemonaeon combines the influences of both traditional and popular musical styles to create an unusual blend of Middle-Eastern/Celtic rock. Charged with the Celtic soul of vocalist Sharon Knight, and inspired by the tribal-trance stylings of bands like Loreena MCKennitt and Dead Can Dance, Pandemonaeon infuses their remarkable sound with high energy elements such as electric guitars, electric violin, oud and mandocello, accompanied by Arabic and African rhythms. Lead guitarist Winter's blues background and fondness for 9th and suspended chords give a Zeppelin-esque flavor to their somewhat goth tribal mood.
Temple of Dreams Live features a brighter, more celebratory tone than their darker Pandemonaeon debut. This album combines elements of Sharon's Celtic roots with Pandemonaeon's Middle-Eastern-rock fusion. If we were to apply colors to describe our music, Incantation would be green, Pandemonaeon would be black and rich amber, and Temple of Dreams would definitely be flaming red with flecks of gold against a starlit sky.
