Album Notes

Rappin' Clappin' Singin' 'bout BASICS started as I would walk down the hall of the first grade classrooms in my school. I would hear students and teachers going over many things such as days of the week, months of the year, rules and counting. I am an art teacher and my classroom is located on the end of the 1st grade hallway. I had already created two CD's of songs and raps for my students to rap and sing about art and artists in my room. Other teachers in my school said that it would be great to rap and sing about things that they teach about also! So I took on the challange and began working on this album. It has 32 tracks of raps and songs and it comes with a lyric booklet to copy for the children. The last track is just a rap beat that you can use to teach anything that you are working on. I have seen some of the kids rapping and clapping along with the finished product. It brings me a lot of joy seeing the students moving and learning at the same time. I also plan to do a video of this. It will have the students and myself singing and doing all of the dance steps so your children can follow along. This is a great tool for children at home or school to start learning some basics!
