Strawberry Obsession

by Sharon Ostrov

Life is not about a "STRAWBERRY OBSESSION" or knowing "YOU DON'T CARE". It's about realizing that after a couple of "RETAKES" life goes on, but "IT WILL TAKE TIME" Enjoy. ~Sharon

ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
The most precious possession that ever comes to a man in this world is a woman's heart. This is what these songs are all about, basically.

You don't care" - hopefully you can feel the venting in this song and the pain when we realize a person we thought loved us, just didn't care.

"It will Take Time" It's about holding on and letting go - you know what you have to do - but it will take time.

"Strawberry Obsession" How falling for someone can bring madness, pain, hurt, and excitement all at the same time. It makes you literally become obsessed.

"Retakes" We should hope for another day to come so we can get up and get it right - do a retake.

"Its Christimastime Again" just hoping that one day that memory would come back to life again and that person would be there and ease your mind.

Life is about who you are, not who you were. You are set free.

Muy bien!
Hi, Sharon. I've just finished listening to your songs, and I must say I'm totally impressed by the sound quality. I liked the Spanish guitar in two songs and the slide used in 'You Don't Care'. Also, your voice sounds really great. It's like Stevie Nicks meets Madonna and some Cyndi Lauper in that song called 'I Drove All Night'. Congrats!

Nice style and construction. Really like Retakes is a very cool and thoughtful song and I like celebrating imperfection. You have a unique voice and your lyrics resonate - good luck with everything.

Eclectic Musical Adventure
This EP by Sharon Ostrov and her band is an eclectic musical adventure. Her haunting voice is reminiscent of Kate Bush especially with the extraordinary guitar interplay on It “It Will Take Time”. Guy Michetti’s classical and electric guitar is mixed without overpowering Sharon’s voice moaning “in between the trying and crying, was it ever good enough for you”. On “Strawberry Obsession” imagine Siouxsie Sioux with a better band than the Banshees. They kicks ass with the dialog that Guy creates on guitars and Sharon’s voice chanting “I think I’m obsessing it’s really depressing”. If comparisons are needed “You Don’t Care” rocks like the best of the Pretenders and “Retakes” could be a crossover to a C&W station. All in all this EP with the high level of musicianship and Sharon’s voice interpreting her own lyrics will be a 4 star rating when reviewed in the Rolling Stone.
