World Journey was inspired by my own travels to places around the world, and all the wonderful friends I have traveled with and met along the way. This album is both very personal and filled with the commonality of life we all share: its struggles, its joys and its wonderful tapestry of life experiences.

Bio on Sharon West

Sharon West is a multi-instrumental composer who has been writing music full-time for about the last 5 years. She played piano, recorder, violin in her youth and saxophone all the way thorugh college, and seriously debated pursuing music in college but ended up getting a B.S. and M.S. in Engineering from the University of Illinois (Champaign/Urbana) before embarking on a 20 year career in Telecom. She decided to leave the corporate world after 20 years and write music full-time, setting up a studio in her home and going back to school at the Berklee School of Music in Boston (online) to develop her songwriting and composition skills. She has produced 4 instrumental music CDs and a recently released a collaborative lyrical CD of original Holiday music.

Past CDs have been on the Top 20 New Age Reporter charts and a number of tracks can be heard on Sirius XM stations as well as over 80 radio stations worldwide. A number of her tracks have been selected for inclusion in various Film/TV and Advertising catalogs.
