Album Notes

Yeah, I know! - Who is this, "Shasta", Bard rock poet of the street? Perhaps this album can, "woe-begin to tell!" - Re-mastered from best sources the original 10 songs with 5 bonus songs added from the same era! Here are the original versions of, "Modern Fixations" & "Outside My Window". (later re-recorded & released on the Shasta, "No More Smoking!" CD.)
"Modern Fixations!" - Illusions & fantasy abound! A carnival of lyrical desire & sarcasm! "Outside My Window" - is about apathy - dedicated to, "couch potatoes", everywhere! Watch as the, "curtain rises on the play"..."Is it just another tune? Is it just another rhyme?" ..."Or could it be - We're Livin' In The ENDTIMES?" - "Condo-Commandos" -"..with camoflage bvd's!", doublespeaks for itself! - "Whistlin' Warwinds!", sounding a warning when it was released, this & other songs on the album are as relevant NOW as Neil's latest! "Well, the taxes still go up & the BS still comes down!" - "Let the gaslines never end!" - Added are, "Blood On The Streets Of America", written for John Lennon's death, it still has relevant impact today! "Storm Of Storms" - think about all the recent floods! - "Be The Jester, Be The Fool!" - Shouting out poetry & words for all with ears to hear!

In an Option Magazine review, writer Steve Hecox said:"Shasta is clearly a poet with an overriding sense of social awareness." ". . . excellent songs, .. Hot, tight, inventive and totally professional." Paul van Kuik of Country Express Radio 0 16 2 - Dongen, Netherlands says: “...your lyrics remind me of Dylan: rough and clear. Just keep on doing what you're doing. Waiting for more!” Tony Bates of Highlands 100.7 FM in Australia says,“...rootsy sound that simply oozes social conscience. Take it or leave it, but you won't forget it as this is an album that epitomises modern living!”
Keen observations of this Bard Rock Poet that gives him a style of his own. A style hat combines his musical influences with an unnerving need to tell the world how he feels about certain people and issues. In his own words:"As the vidiot screens control our dreams - marines die upon foreign shores - and I swear I saw phantoms dressed in black at America’s back door. - Oh, say why can’t you see?”
Shasta is currently working with A&R Select, a leading A&R firm in Hollywood, CA. & is now residing in Nashville, TN.

Review:
“Shasta’s music bubbles over with an over abundance of genre-defying musical skill.” – A&R Select
