Shawn's new record "But I Digress" is a collection of songs that blends all styles of "Americana" music. Country. Blues. Bluegrass and Folk Rock. Whatever you want to call it, you can be quite sure that when you listen to Shawn's music you are hearing something fresh and exciting. The record features outstanding performances from some of Nashville's finest musicians including Grammy nominated fiddler/artist Casey Dreissen and The Greencards' Eamon Mclaughlin.
Shawn's talents as a singer/songwriter is not limited to being just that. His guitar chops and vocal abilities have been called upon by many, many great talents. Mark Knopfler, Kristin Hall (Sugarland), Anne McCue, Emily West, Ashton Shepherd, Brooke Miller, Kevin Montgomery, Amelia White, Thad Cockerell, Sin City Social Club just to name but a few. As a songwriter Shawn is making some sizable waves as well. His song "Ol' Cook Pot" was recorded by soulgrass superstars, The Duhks, who made the song a top ten Americana radio hit in turn garnering him a prestigious SESAC award. Country rock troubadour Kevin Montgomery titled his latest release "True" after one of Shawn's songs, and recently multi-platinum Aussie star Adam Brand put his stamp on Shawn's lovable ditty "Simpleton". That list only continues to grow as more and more artists discover the depths of Shawn's music. His music will leave you believing once again in the power of rock and roll, err I mean country rock folk... Well, let's just call it music. And damn fine music at that.
