Album Notes

The title of the album is taken from the poem \"Moving Forward\" by the Rainier Maria Rilke. The compositions of \"Standing on Fishes\" capture the moods and visual reflections of the poem from which the title comes. Clear bright and singularly unique, it is dynamic one moment, yet moody and ambient the next, taking the listener on a passionate and emotional musical journey.

Again joined by a stellar group of musicians,saxman Eric Marienthal and keyboardist Gregg Karukas along with Keith Jones (Andy Narell, Airto Moreira and Flora Purim) on bass and Tommy Brechtlein(Chick Corea, Robben Ford) all give stellar performances, collaborating with Sheeran to create the Brazilian rhythms which get you samba-ing on \"Eu Vou Pra As Estrelas\", \"Inside Life\" and \"Standing On Fishes\"; and the silky smooth, shimmering emotion which hold you suspended on many of the cuts like \"The Healing\", \"Azure Blue\" and \"The Rose\".
