Neven Pesa is the sole vocalist and instrumentalist of "Shekinah Hosanna."
The band name is the combination of two Hebrew words.
'Shekinah' refers to the manifest presence of God in our midst, prefigured and foreshadowed by the old Ark of the Covenant that contained the Manna, the Tablets of the Law and the Staff of Aaron. This proto-type was ultimately fulfilled in the New Ark that was not made of acacia wood and gold but made of sanctified flesh and sinew - and at the moment of the Incarnation, the Son of God, the Second Person of the Most Holy Trinity 'was made flesh and dwelt among us,' within the spotless womb of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
The Almighty and Everlasting God, Who cannot be contained by the vastness of the universe is fully contained in the spotless virginal womb of Mary.
As promised by Our Lord, His manifest presence is perpetuated until the end of time in His Holy Eucharist. He is with us Eucharistically in Body, Blood, Soul & Divinity.
"Hosanna" has multiple meanings. It is an ancient exclamation of both praise and joy and if said with a spirit of urgency it can also mean, "Save Us Now!"
Track number 7 on the CD is sung in Hebrew, Croatian and in English. Its initial line translates to "Jesus is the Messiah - to the Glory of the Father."
Neven Pesa currently resides in New York City and plans to continue writing songs expressing God's love until God calls him home.
