ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Sheldon Isaac

Sheldon born and raised in La Marque, Texas has always had a zeal for Gospel Music. He began playing the Piano & Organ at the age of 10 after coming home Sunday after Sunday imitating the Progressive Missionary Baptist Church of Texas City Musicians. Sheldon was always around Music and Church, which was a foundation to the discovery of his gifts and talents. Sheldon's Grandfather Henry Isaac sang with the Golden Gates Gospel Singers of Huntsville, Texas for over 70 years, and his Uncle Carl E. Isaac, Sr. is the Pastor of First Morning Star Baptist Church in Houston, Texas where Sheldon was often close to the organ and watching Rev. Derrick Smith direct the choir with passion. Sheldon's family has numerous singers and musicans like his Sister Twyla Isaac, his aunts Jan Isaac, Glories Isaac-Johnson, Margie Samuels, Jerline Isaac, his Grandmother Albertine Willis, and Mother Billie Isaac to name a few. This helped Sheldon yearn for Music, and God began to develop the gift He gave him. At the age of 15 he got his first job playing for Pastor Henry Ford and the Greater St. Paul Baptist Church Family in La Marque, Texas. The Bible says in Proverbs 18:16 that "a man's gift maketh room for him...", and indeed it did. Sheldon then at the age of 17, started playing for New Bethel Baptist Church in Houston, Texas, where he was able to work with a 50 Voice Choir, and this lead to many new experiences and opportunities for him. Sheldon later became the Organist for Greater St. Matthew Baptist Church in Hitchock, Texas under the leadership of Pastor William L. Randall. Greater Saint Matthew is currently the largest African American Church in Galveston County, and Sheldon stayed there until the Lord moved him to Minister of Music at the New Beginning Church of League City Rev. Malcolm C. Dotson, Sr. - Pastor, which is currently where he serves. Along the way, Sheldon also served as Youth Music Director at his church, Willing Workers Baptist Church of Houston, Texas, Rev. J.C. Carrington, Jr. - Pastor. This allowed him to work with Gospel Artist Eric D. Carrington, whom has been a great mentor for Sheldon for over 15 years. Eric gave Sheldon the opportunity to travel with him on numerous occasions to learn what the Music Industry is all about. To advance his Ministry, Sheldon attended Houston Community College of Music, and San Jacinto Jr. College Music School where he studied Music Theory, Fundamentals of Music, and Vocal Training & Care. Sheldon is a Honoree of the Galveston County Sacred Music Hall of Fame, a former GEM and Musician for the Marcus Truscott Summer Youth Explosion Foundation to name some of his Awards. Sheldon has had many doors open his way, and just recently produced the Houston Mass Choir of the GMWA in April of 2012. More importantly, anoited is what comes to mind when you think about Sheldon, he's a worshipper, and definitely one of God's Musicians.

Sheldon is available for Workshops, Weddings, Church Services, Anniversaries Etc.
