ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Shenendoah Thompson is a self taught guitarist, vocalist, and performer. He was born and raised in Morgantown, WV, among a musical family. He began playing guitar in his early teens, while being home schooled. He is an avid reader of Poe, Hemmingway, and Shakespeare.
Shenendoah, who goes by the name of "Shea", has acted in many plays and performed in musicals at the WVU Creatve Arts Center, The Metropolitan Theatre, Empty Pockets Theatre, and has attended The Morgantown Theatre Company.
While attending The Morgantown Theatre Company, he grew as an actor and vocalist, and performed in many plays and musicals for the Company.
Shea's most accomplished roles on stage included the role of Tevye in Fiddler on the Roof, and his most recent role as Sweeney in Sweeney Todd.
Drawing on influences ranging from jazzy-folk music to Indie, Rock, and Reggae, Shea has written over 100 songs, compiling each to his own music. He has performed playing his acoustic guitar and the piano at many local esablishments in Morgantown. He has also performed at open mic's in WV and once performed as an Elvis impersonator in a Murder Mystery Dinner at the Alpine Lake Resort located in Terra Alta, WV.
Shea's musical influences include Dave Matthews, Bob Marley, Regina Spector, Coldplay, and The Beatles. He has been followed by the press in Morgantown, WV, making front page news on the Marquette page of The Dominion Post. He has also had coverage in The Daily Athenaeum of West Virginia University.
His music has been heard many places including the U92 Radio, also at West Virginia University.
When asked his biggest inspiration for writing lyrics, Shenendoah will tell you that it is "love" and "personal experience".
