Kicks ass!

This cd is one of the best I have heard in 2007 and I listen to a lot of jazz. Shenole's tone is gorgeous and full. The sidemen play effortlessly together sheer joy shines through every track on this cd. All the solos are TASTY. No showboating here, just great playing and very nicely recorded.
My favorite track is 4(Hope). I'm a sucker for soprano sax, a notoriously difficult horn I hear to play in tune. I won;t go into every track on the cd as I easily could, pointing out all the subtleties and ,as I said before, just plain joy you feel from these guys/ Buy this cd and crank it up. I only hope I get to see them play in person. It's criminal Shenole is not widely known but it tells me there's a lot of unknown talent out there. I look forward to your next album man. Get on it!
Jazz lives!
