Sheri; So great to see your face on a CD! If you recall, I have long been a fan of yours (Bobbins Restaurant in Toronto). I would love to see you live again! Will you be performing in the Toronto area any time soon? Take care, Ted

Hello Old Friend
author: Ted Garner
I have followed Shery since the early eighties when she worked days in a Chiropractors office and sang nights at Bobbins Restaurant in Toronto with John Hughes on Piano. I lost count of the times I sat in Bobbins and choked up listening to Sheri sing Memory from Cats. She was fabulous then and continues to be. Bravo Sheri

Sheri is a songwriter's dream
author: Andy Northrup
Sheri Somerville is the type of vocalist that songwriters dream of having discover their material. She can take a song and make it her own but never at the expense of the person who created the lyric/music. Witness Sheri's version of "Unchain My Heart" or "The Very Thought of You". There is also something about Somerville's smooth delivery and jazzy approach to the material on this album which hints at a tone of resignation implying that "Crazy Love" is an affliction that we would miss if it wasn't present in our lives even as it frustrates and teases us. This album is simply addictive and Somerville deserves to be acknowledged as one of Canada's great jazz voices. Do yourself a favour, click on the clips of the tunes and follow through on the desire you'll have for more. Support this disc with a purchase and catch Somerville live when you get the chance, you won't soon forget her.
