Micah Sherman and Dan Hirshon met while performing in Boston's comedy circuit. Together at last, they decided to write and record brilliance, inviting several other accomplished Boston standups and improvisers to voice other characters on this album.
In addition to playing James (groomsman to Matthew McConnaughey's best man and Jennifer Garner's maid of honor) in GHOSTS OF GIRLFRIEND'S PAST (in theaters early 2009), Sherman just returned from the first annual Great American Comedy Festival. Hirshon, who has performed standup all over from Bangor, Maine to Cape Town, South Africa has appeared at the Last Vegas and Boston Comedy Festivals. The two now live in New York City where they are looking to furnish their apartments.

I'm pretty picky about comedy. There's a lot of mediocre stuff out there, and it takes something really good to impress me. THIS CD IMPRESSED ME. Really well-written, well-produced, and well-acted. Very clever and smart...and FUNNY. I want to hear more from this group/duo.

If we can agree that creating quality sketch comedy in a live or televised environment is not easily accomplished, then we can certainly agree that doing it without the aid of visuals must be twice as difficult, right? Well, maybe just a different kind of difficult. Either way, it ain't easy. But when you hear audio sketch comedy done right, you know it. Take this disc, for example. The sound effects are well-recorded and timed accordingly, giving you the sense that you're standing next to the water cooler while listening to the most awkwardly hilarious office conversation ever. Speaking of, the third track, "Captain Awkward," takes uncomfortable social situations to places that will make you giggle and squirm, exaggerating the antics of folks who just can't keep things to themselves. And that's just the beginning. For the discerning (and mature) comedy listener, this is absurdist tomfoolery at its finest.
