"Crimson is the color of her music. At once deep and delicate, it is as raw as it is thought out. Tactful acoustic guitar gives an element of grandeur and simplicity to the weighted, edgy, rock-infused arrangments while her clear, angelic voice brings focus to potent writing and swirling melodies. If you listen too long, you'll fall in love."

This summer, Sherri-Anne signed on with Canyon Edge Records to record her first full length album, produced by Canada's Tom Stinson, with world class Mastering by Joao Carvalho Mastering(Canada), in what is deemed the most acoustically precise room in Canada. The new album features 12 songs, 10 written by Sherri-Anne, and 2 written by her soul friend Bird.
Sherri-Anne's passion for sharing honest music really kicked off during an "Okanagan Idol" contest in her home town, where she insisted on playing heartfelt original songs regardless of the nature of the contest. Her courage resulted in a recording deal for several acoustic tracks, and she was featured on the "Okanagan Idol" music compilation album in 2003 as the only artist with an original song.
Then a couple years later, Okanagan folk celebrity Tom Stinson presented the opportunity for her to record the full band "Dear Life demo" with Cabin Fever Studios in Kelowna, BC Canada. The unique 5-track "Dear Life demo" combines a raw honesty of her University experience with an insatiable compassion for humanity.
Since graduation, her powerful musical vision is revealing itself more clearly than ever before:
"After four years of a both amazing and tumultuous University experience in the States, my passion for music has begun to consume me and ignited a fire in my soul to share life's inspirations with others," says Sherri-Anne.
"It was a trip to South Africa and a Missy Higgins concert last year that really propelled me to move on from a job I wasn't happy with, start touring, and share this true passion with the world."
Sherri-Anne's passions are certainly reaching a wide array of people. Within a week of this realization Chicago opened its arms and Sherri-Anne and her "soul sister" Bird, an incredibly talented Ohio vocalist, mesmerized Chicago. Sherri-Anne arrived in Kelowna to a SOLD OUT songwriters showcase and shocked the crowd with her contagious presence. ShawTV caught one glimpse and has since interviewed whenever she is back in the Kelowna area.
