Album Notes
Being compared to the voices of Celine Dion, Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston and Connie Francis, Sheryll Brooke doesn't resort to lip syncing at live appearances.

Grounded in classical voice and piano training; talented, energetic and beautiful 20 year-old Sheryll Brooke is perfecting her expressive skills under the tutelage of two consummate professionals: master pianist Thomas Siklos and operatic voice maestro Giuseppe Taormina.

Her soulful voice can at times be powerful, gritty, or tender, loving and emotive -- providing just the right touch of passion, vivacity and intensity to delight the audience.

Her performing career includes a cruise ship talent show with an audience of over 1,500; and, the first New York independent concert by a 16 year-old, with an audience of over 700. Some of Sheryll's other notable venues are: Cleopatra's Needle, the Cotton Club, the Grand Saloon, Nuyorican Poets Café, and the Bitter End in New York; and Abilene's in Philadelphia. She has also played at various street fairs and festivals in Brooklyn, as well as to afternoon crowds on the east side of Manhattan. Many people have reserved copies of her CD because of these appearances.

Sheryll is a pianist/composer/lyricist/singer with a magnetic ability to combine infectious tunes with contemporary real-life themes which are relevant to what people are going through in their lives and can easily identify with. Her CD, consisting of 4 (four) self-penned songs, as well as her inspired adaptation of Evanescence's "My Immortal", encompasses a wide spectrum of styles and emotions. The guitar-filled pop-rocker "Saying Goodbye" is about a person who one morning finds a note saying that they are a thing of the past; while the Latin-tinged dance track "Confusion" talks about an unfaithful person who is not certain if they should return to their original partner or continue their infidelity. "Boy In My Dreams" includes layered vocal harmonies, and the somber, piano-filled "Never Again" recalls a story of a teenage girl falling victim to peer pressure. The CD also includes Sheryll's moving rendition of "My Immortal". (Sheryll's rendition of "My Immortal has been downloaded thousands of times around the world.)

Sheryll's fresh, catchy music provides unexpected brash, edgy, lyrical and melodic explosions, which leave you craving for more. Expect an 11-song album to be out in '08.
