Album Notes

Vusimuzi Shibambo is a South African drummer, originally from Johanesburg, South Africa. In South Africa he formed a band,Shibambo World Beat which toured throughout Europe, the UK, Ireland, and the Middle East over a period of two years. During that time Vusi was given multiple opportunities, ranging from performing for Nelson Mandela with the Liberation Movement, working with actor/director, Robert Redford in the film "Hold My Hand I'm Dying' shot in South Africa, where Vusimuzi choreograped ethnic dances, acted and composed the film's sound track, along with several others.

In 1993 Vusimuzi was invited to come to the United States to be part of Northern Arizona State University's World Peace Festival where people from all over the world came together mixing clay from all countries together along with bringing the music of their countries together. Since then, Vusimuzi and his band continue to perform throughout the United States.
