Digitally remastered, to sound profound! Four, previously unreleased, BONUS tracks! And that's a fact, Jack!
"Double Diamonds" was originally recorded in the mid-90's. The initial release, which included the first twelve tracks on this current CD, were enthusiastically received by music critics, DJs and instrumental fans alike. Soon, the College Music Journal listed "Double Diamonds" in the top 25 songs of its play list.
But, alas, band members couldn't agree on the direction of the music and for the next several years, the album was "frozen" in dispute.
Over the years, many of the tracks have been covered by prominent instrumental bands in the San Francisco Bay Area and the album continues to get air-play on college radio to this day.
Four "bonus" tracks have been added for your listening pleasure. They were recorded a couple of years
after "Double Diamonds" and are worthy of making this new release truly the "Double Diamonds Deluxe" edition.
In September 2006, it was nominated for "Best Surf Album" for the Just Plain Folks Music Awards.

A "must-have" disc for your surf collection!
author: Craig Mrusek - surf music enthusiast
If you like surf/instro, get this disc. The overall sound on this CD is similar to the traditional classic surf sound of bands like Los Straitjackets and Satan's Pilgrims...with a healthy dose of Morricone-style spaghetti western thrown in. Great stuff...highly recommended!
