The Shills formed in early 2004 with a common ambition to push the boundaries of pop rock music. They have been cultivating a sound built from driving rhythms, soaring melodies and exacting musicianship. Their new EP “Push” is the embodiment of their first collective endeavor. From the jolting hard rock stomp of “Send Me Out” to the plush ear candy of “Say What You Will” or the heartfelt sway of “Oh Lovely” The Shills burst out of the gate with a diverse and dramatic new sound.
The Shills draw on a wide range of influences such as The Beatles, Ours, Soundgarden, Jeff Buckley, Radiohead, Muse, Queen and many more. With a nod to the past The Shills are making accessible yet challenging new sounds. As a live act The Shills have built a solid following throughout the Boston area.
