West Hollywood's indie-pop sensation Shitting Glitter's last full length CD, "Free Alongside Ship" was touted as a 'top pick' by Out Magazine and included the fan-favorite "Slut Buffet." Now, that racy and rambunctious slice of electro-rock has been transformed into a club anthem thanks to Solar City, whose 'Slutty Club Mix' has already been heard pumping in clubs like Chi Chi LaRue's Dirty Deeds and DJ Raw-Burt's Blender in Los Angeles. "Sidesaddle Sweet Talk" is more than just a maxi-single though, adding not only DJ Bill Dup's 'Fag Cruisin' remix, but also his take on the goth-rock stomper "Mondo di Corpo," turning it into a minimalistic darkwave dub. Three brand new tracks round out the release which should tide fans over until the next album: "Mustache Rides Five Cents" which is a new take on a Shitting Glitter classic complete with a carnival atmosphere and accompanied by a riotous music video. "Delay" sees the band moving into a much more lush, mature sound with layers upon layers of vocals, guitars, and synths combining to form something that is part modern-indie-rock, part retro-kitsch; completely fresh. Lastly, "Trance Ego" is a trippy tune in the same vein as 2005's "Ladyslipper" with it's psychedelic groove and affected vocals from frontwoman Amy Crosby. It's the tightest attraction this side of a beehive!
