Album Notes

The debut solo album from Digital Underground front man Shock G, Fear Of A Mixed Planet takes you on a conscious journey through the mind of a living Hip Hop legend. Shock G lays down smooth vocals, killer rhymes, and always-witty but thoughtful poetry over melodic, almost futuristic beats. From receiving a Cherry Flava\'d Email to riding the Cinnamon Waves, this album is an instant classic. This Bonus Edition comes with two tracks not previously available! What people are saying: \"Shock is back with probably his best work yet\" and \"Those that enjoyed the underground will find the feel is alive and well. The sound has improved (as if that were possible) and the lyrics are even more clever than before.\" Digital Underground fans will not be disappointed with this album, but note that Shock does depart from his various persona\'s long enough to give you a glimpse of who he really is. His soul is bared, and the speakers are ready to dish it out. All you have to do... is buy it and strap in!

REVIEWS

Keepin' It Beautiful!!
author: Adam Blackstock
This is easily one of the best Hip-Hop albums released in the past decade. Shock's raps and sing-songy vocals are as dope as ever. The comedy is here, the introspective thoughts on life are here. Normally when i write reviews i go track by track. It's pointless with this album. Every track is dope. Whether is a hyped up Hip-Hop jam laced heavily with funk or a mellowed out Hip-Hop joint featuring acoustic guitars, it's all Shock-G. True Hip-Hop is alive and well in this album. And yes Humpty Hump and Money B have appearances on the album. My favz, Cherry Flava'd E-Mail, Cinnamon Waves, Baby You Okay?, Sunshine Rime, and Your Sun Iz A Pimp. Even if u picked up this album back in 2004, u should pick this 2008 edition for the quirky bonus track "Walkin'" and the Jiggy Remix of "Your Sun Iz A Pimp." Please keep the music comin,' Shock!!
