Ok, First to me ShockWave is the New Black Sabbath. I think they sound alot like the original Sabbath Line up. I also hear alot of Pantera in their music. I like ShockWave's drummer alot. He sounds like Sabbaths Bill Ward, when Billy was in his prime. The chick bass player definitly plays just like Geezer Butler from Sabbath. I read an interview where she said Geezer was her favorite bass player.
Thanks CD Baby for turning me onto this band. I may never of heard ShockWave's Heavy Impact if I didnt buy the CD here.

It's Great to see a new American metal band that blends 80's metal with a Y2K hard edge. ShockWave's Heavy Impact starts off with the song "Tension" the song blend's Sabbath over tones with Rush. The second track "Lock & Load" is a very powerful in your face masterpiece! My favorite track on Heavy Impact is 7:17 with its Sabbath "Volume 4" production sound. The image and packaging of this band is refreshing. ShockWave's Heavy Impact is pumped full of commercial metal for those of us who love great guitar playing. I highly recommend the cd.

Shockwave has their own unique dynamic sound. The guitarist plays alot like Yngwie Malmsteen. I like his heavy chord sound better. It's a cross between Tony Iommi of Black Sabbath & Tom Sholz of Boston with flashy guitar solo's.
I caught them playing in Vegas & every song rocked.

Finally a band I can sink my teeth into. Heavy Impact is my favorite CD! ShockWave appears to be filling the gap for those of us who loved VanHalen & Sabbath. I listen to Heavy Impact at work in the shower in my car. My holiday shopping was easy this year. All my friends are getting Heavy Impact. Please let me know when they are playing the east coast.
