This is an excerpt from a recent interview:



Urban: Tell me a few things that on your bio?

Shok: I have sold over 13 million records on the producer side of things for artists like DMX, Eve, Busta Rhymes, Big Pun (RIP) , Jadakiss, Snoop Dog and many others. I made a decision to change my path and seek a different kind of success as I began to seek God as much as I use to seek money my thinking went from "Get rich or die trying" to "Each mans life is but a breath, He bustles about, but only in vein, he heaps up wealth not knowing who will get it, But now Lord, what do I look for? MY HOPE IS IN YOU" (Psalm 39:6,7). I came to a point where I realized money and achievements would never fulfill what my soul needed , only God could.


Urban: Have you made any albums? If so, where can I buy it?

Shok: My first solo album is available at www.thelosttruth.com.

Urban: Why should people buy it?

Shok: I encourage people to buy it because it is well produced, has some hits and is a splash of refreshing originality in a dry desert of carbon copies.

Urban: Currently, do you have events booked at this time, so your fans can see you perform?

Shok: Not at this time, the project is brand new and we are assembling our team right now. If anyone wants me to come perform anywhere please contact martin@firstchoiceonline.com.

Urban: This is your time, so take 30 seconds, and let people know why you are different from the rest?

Shok: I would say the Sound is different because it blends Hip Hop, Soul, Rock, Pop, R&B, Drum n Bass, and even Opera. It combines live instrumentation with programmed electronic music and uses stringed instruments, synthesizers, live drums and percussion, programmed drums and percussion with Hip Hop style production to create a unique sonic texture and does not contain any Samples or interpolations. While the Content is about real life and struggles we all go through trying to find our way in this world. I am not fronting any image what you see is what you get and my music is motivated by truth and quality rather than sales and hype.
