Music being the universal language is perceived differently from listener to listener. When two great musical minds merge, a pallet of sound is created. Such is the case in this collection of songs by Bret Short and Mark Boston a.k.a. Rockette Morton. Rockette Morton is known worldwide as the bassist for "Captain Beefheart and the Magic Band" and "Mallard" under the production of Frank Zappa. His eclectic style and writing compliment this collection of works. on the other side of the coin, partner Bret Short was a product of the outlaw movement that occured in the late seventies and early eighties. As the guitarist with David Allan Coe and many other artist of all genres, as a session player, has played on over 2000 recordings worldwide. This combination of influences incorporates Jazz, Swing, Blues, Rock and Country. Short-N-Morton is a unique sound created by two unique individuals.

I was amazed when i put this in the player. The combination of genres all rolled into one creates a sound all it's own. Makes you want to let the top down on a summer day and cruise down the highway. Great job guys!
