Shoshana Smith is her name given at birth but if you saw her perform live you would understand how she got the title Sassy Lady. Keeping it real down to earth in your face poetry with jazzy music is how she likes to keep it. Listening to her music and words is like reading a good book; you never know where the next sentence is going to take you.

Sassy Lady knows that life offers a variety of situations and experiences and manages to explore those real subject matters through her intoxicating poetry and music.

Life is truly a journey and sometimes journeys have obstacles, trials and tribulations, But through the journey
We begin to learn or suppose to learn new things about ourselves which should enrich our lives one way or the other.

four years ago I made my first CD with Mental Food Productions and thought I reached my plateau;
I was ecstatic, elated, and overjoyed to work on a project with these two talented men, never thinking
A second CD would ever happen. But the next four years brought great change in my life, took me from East Coast to West Coast, and with it many new experiences and new people. Experiences worth talking about so she decided to write about them and put them in this CD
Through SONG/MUSIC/ and of course POETRY
Because all poetry is, are words imitating life and life expressed through words.
