Album Notes

Innocence presents 9 original and 4 covers from Shouting Thomas, the Professor of the Blues!

This album was recorded at Midnight Modulation Studios in Woodstock, New York, with a full blues band, featuring Sredni Vollmer (long associated with Rick Danko of The Band) on harp, James Newton on drums and Mike Winfield on bass.

Now a resident of the most famous small town in America, Woodstock, New York, Shouting Thomas plays both urban and country blues.

"Hello Strangers," the first tune, is indeed an introduction to Thomas' music.

Innocence includes two hard rocking slide guitar songs, "Been Losing" and "One Thing I Can Tell You."

The cover tunes on this album run the gamut from "You Can't Spend" by Muddy Waters, to "Cadillac Ranch" by Springsteen.

Shouting Thomas has played throughout the Northeast, in New York City, Woodstock and the Jersey Shore. With his late wife, Myrna Thomas, he performed at the greatest blues club in Chicago, Kingston Mines.

Soon to come, "Blues Standards," a CD featuring Myrna Thomas, and a commemorative CD, "Blues 4 Myrna."
