Looking for something different? How about an album that is progressive, thrashy, deathy, doomy, sludgy, soft, heavy, and everything in between? A band that could compare to so many others of completely different genres, but yet is still so diverse and different that it is a sound completely of its own? Well, look no further! Sanctum Nocturnus, which is Shuddersome's first full length album is just that. "The bastard child of every great metal band" many have said, and that statement is probably the best to describe the sound of this band. Hailing out of Danville, Virginia a 5 piece band with male and female vocals, this is something completely new to the metal scene. "Diverse Metal". Bands that Shuddersome has been compared to? Metallica, Amon Amarth, Nevermore, Lacuna Coil, Pantera, Corrosion of Conformity, Down, Alice In Chains, Symphony X, and quite a few others. That there shows you just how diverse this band and this album is. Just check out some of the sound clips!
The first 100 copies of this cd comes with Two acoustic bonus tracks plus a free sticker.

As an owner of one of the first 10 cd's, I have had plenty of time to listen to it. There is a myriad of song styles, ranging from sludge, to doom, to viking, to black metal, and everything in between. The sound quality is very good for a local record, all the instruments can be heard well, and the vocals stand out well. All in all it is a great cd, definately worth checking out if youre into metal.
