Album Notes

This is the debut album of Brett Shurman, a psychiatrist by day and closet singer-songwriter by night. This album is a the culmination of a three year collaboration between Brett and Rob Mullins, a well established L.A. Jazz artist and composer. Rob helped Brett develop and achieve his holy grail- -to create an album of songs worthy of being heard. Various musicians and recording professionals from the Rob Mullins band contributed to the excellent musicianship and production on this album. Brett and Rob hope that the music and lyrics from this album will inspire a sense of interest and wonder as it did for them during its creation.

Brett has heard many interesting interpretations of the meaning of this album. He feels in retrospect that each song in the album reflects the barriers to self-perception. What else would you expect from a musical shrink? Feel free to review the album and leave your own interpretation.

My favorites are Fiesta Face and Baby I like it Rough! But all the songs are so catchy and easy to listen to. I would highly recommend purchasing this album!
