Album Notes

No Y is a compilation of over twenty Atlanta area bands featuring female vocalists. Outside of the area, much of these bands have much notoriety, including Michelle Malone. Apart from gender and geography, the bands have little else in common. No Y is a very eclectic mix, ranging from folk, to punk, to swing. The best cuts belong to the torchy Melanie Massell's "Angel Workin' Overtime" and the dark, fiddle-laden sounds of Aromatic, with their song "Do Something."
