Shuzo Nishino is a sensitive musician with a wonderful technique and sound. I am sure, that his recordings will give pleasure to lovers and connoisseurs of instrumental music.

Dimitri Kitajenko

Born 1949 in Tokyo, Shuzo Nishino studied classical double-bass at the Toho-Music-University in Tokyo with Prof. Eguchi. In 1972 he moved to Germany and studied at the famous Folkwang-Music-University with Prof. Heister.
He joined the well known Gürzenich-Orchestra in Köln, where he plays the solo double bass part since 1974. With the Orchestra he worked together under famous conductors (James Conlon, Günter Wand a.o.), he made several recordings and tours through many countries all over the world. BASS BEAUTY is his first solo recording.
