ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Anne & Pete love to get right to the heart of their audience. For them it is about the vocals: the words, the harmonies. Accompanied on guitar and banjo theirs is a traditional yet original sound. They have been inspired by duet performers like Tim & Mollie O'Brien, and Gillian Welch & David Rawlins.
Anne's powerful vocals and songwriting paired with Pete's solid guitar, melodic clawhammer banjo playing and harmonies highlight their CD released in 2004 entitled, Think of This River. The compilation has received radio play in states around the West and support from their listeners.

What they are saying about Anne & Pete Sibley...
"Anne & Pete Sibley offer some of the best duo harmonies around...their mix of original songs and traditional favorites bring back the good old days. The sweet blend of their voices will bring a smile to your face... and if your ears could smile they would be grinning too! "
-George Gertz, North Fork Valley Bluegrass Festival Coordinator, Colorado

"Anne & Pete Sibley are quickly becoming the West's favorite duo - sweet singing at its best!"
-Ken Seaman of The Bluegrass Patriots and MidWinter Bluegrass Festival Coordinator

"We absolutely love these guys! Anne and Pete Sibley render original and traditional bluegrass songs with breathtaking harmony, bringing goosebumps every time. Their stage presence is warm and genuine, and they breathe youth and energy into the bluegrass style. They were festival favorites; we hope they'll return to the Yellowstone Music Festival for years to come."
-Jenny Lynn Golding, Yellowstone Music Festival Coordinator

"Pete and Anne Sibley sing so well together...they also have a tremendous ear for finding great material - new, old and original. It's always a treat to hear them."
- Ben Winship of Kane's River, Recording Artist

A must for anyone who loves good music.
The songs on this CD are beautiful and cross several genres of music. Anne's crisp clear voice is a joy to listen to and the harmonies blend smoothly. I will buy more of their music!

If you like mountain music and "angelic" harmonies this is for you.
Our mountain music heritage just keeps producing better and better duos! Anne and Pete understand the music, write some of it themselves, and maintain a marvelous respect for the genre as they push the limits. This is music to be proud of.

Carla

Sweet, gentle bluegrass music with beautiful harmonies!
Anne and Pete have a knack for picking beautiful songs, and their gentle harmonies make this CD a real winner. I also love the instruments they use-the fiddle, banjo, guitar, mandolin. Anyone who loves oldtime bluegrass music will absolutely love this CD. I have been listening to it over and over since it arrived!

Soft Power
Anne/Pete Sibley I met them while working in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. They caught my ear with their rich Harmony and I knew that they were on their way to something big, Being a songwriter my self I have attended festival around the U.S.
Anne/Pete have a great gift in the music they write and the tunes they chose to cover and they cover them well, Go see them live and if you can't get their CD's Patrick Wyatt Rheaume

Absolutely uplifting! Takes me away to where I want to be ....
When I've had a bad day, I walk to my car and turn on the engine. Anne and Pete join me, and all is well with the world. The problems, concerns and aggravations disappear and I'm transported to the mountains of harmony and peace.
