Kicking off their long-awaited disc with rockabilly kicker “Graveyard Love” is the first of many good moments here. It sets the tone with, quite possibly, the coolest verse of all time: Hey little baby I’m six feet down / Get you a shovel and dig around / Necrophiliate me while I’m fresh. One of Dallas’ most versatile bands, SM includes the sweet ballad “Natalie,” punk-thrasher “Memories In Dreams,” melancholy ode “Just Me” and the swingy rocker “Burnin’ Time.” Leader Justin Pickard’s vocals are stellar, and his guitar is crisp, fronting a great sounding mix with Brondon Esco’s drums and Matt Brannon’s bass and harmonies. With catchy, inspired music decorated by some brilliant lyrics, this is one of the best CD’s of the year, locally or otherwise. - Mark Beneventi (Harder Beat Magazine)
