if you have walked into a starbucks lately, it is very likely that you have heard a Side Project song or two. in december of 2005, TSP signed a deal with Play Network putting 3 tracks off of their debut album "14" in all of the 6000+ starbucks locations around the nation.

being together just over two years, playing more shows in that time frame then most, the side project has been branded as folk/pop music.

"disarmingly beautiful music," describes Mike Corrigan from The Inlander.

delving deep into the artful side of music, the side project incorporates mixed-media into their shows, featuring live paintings, photography, sculpture, cued video and silent films. any one show may feature many colaborative artists and musicians.

in march of 2004, the side project released their debut album "14" featuring (you guessed it) 14 tracks, including tunes that singer, suzie, had written previous to the band uniting, original side project music, and two "unlikely" cover songs. selling out that album in october of 2004, the side project was pleasantly surprised at having to reorder so soon.

in late 2005, TSP's "14" went to national radio. just a few short months later, this album went to #34 on the national new age radio charts.

I was walking down the street recently & passed a Seattle park that was sponsoring a community block party. This live, Pied Piper band assaulted my ears! I hit the gate and brought 2 CD's immediately. Didn't know anything about the band but "My World" did it for me. Hope a major deal comes thru for them. Love how they incorporate snippets of popular songs into their own brand of magic. Good, original, music w/ fresh and intelligent lyrics is hard to find these days! G'luck!

Do you ever hear music that you love immediately and that speaks to your soul? This CD does just that. I bought the CD b/c I heard "In the Name of Love" in a local Starbucks and was immediately mesmerized. The entire CD is just as great. It was NOT disappoint!

I think classifying this band as folk/pop is an injustice. Maybe that's because I don't know the genre, but I do know that this CD has great lyrics and music! I guess I think it's a bit too "lively" to be folk-like. I'd recommend this CD first, "a comfortable struggle" second.
