Album Notes

Top 5 "Women in Music" albums of the year - Collected Sounds.

"The songwriting (on A Comfortable Struggle) is first class, both lyrically and melodically. The tunes will stay with you long after the last song plays," says Amy Lotsberg, Producer of Collected Sounds.

Being together just over two years, playing more shows in that time frame then most, The Side Project has been branded as Adult Contemporary music.

Delving deep into the artful side of music, they incorporate mixed-media into their shows, featuring live paintings, photography, sculpture, cued video and silent films. Any one show may feature many collaborative artists and musicians.
The band is comprised of Susie Bradford as lead singer, Ben Bradford (suzie's husband) on bass and backup vocals, and Parker on piano. additional instrumentation on side project albums and shows may include Joe Varela on drums, Clint Burgess on guitar and Zoe Boysen on cello. as of 2004, the side project has also included 8 year old live performance painter Gabriella Barbieri.

A Comfortable Struggle, released in the summer of 2005, features Grammy Award Winning guitarist Eric Tingstad.

This is music. Dynamic, melodic, rhythmic with great lyrics. First saw them live 2 years ago in Seattle. I wish they'd travel south to Southern Oregon!

A wonderfully pleasant evening of music

My wife and I had the pleasure of attending a live performance by this group. They performed top notch and left us wanting more. We bought both CD's of theirs and were delighted by their sheer talent. We saw them live at the Edgewater on 03-04-06 and are lucky to have stumbled upon them. Two thumbs up!!! Good luck in your future endeavors.
