David Russell and the Sideshow Symphonette is a collection of thirteen original songs in a multitude of genres, that all share a dark theatricality and a deep love for all kinds of music, past and present.

Here's a tour:
Tracks 2 and 4: Hooky literate pop songs a la Kinks and Costello.

Tracks 9, 11, and 13: Swingin' ditties from a Parisian Nightclub that never was.

Tracks 5 and 8: Love songs with a mescaline chaser.

Track 7: Bossa Nova by way of Vegas, baby.

Tracks 1, 3, 6, 10, and 12: Theatrical dirges, waltzes, and tangos-Fellini meets Cecil B. DeMille and Kurt Weill at a funeral for a fortune telling dwarf.

David Russell and the Sideshow Symphonette is David's second release as a bandleader. The album was recorded by Scott Colburn at Gravelvoice Studios in Seattle. Also, checkout David's first record, Corpse or the Groom, recorded by Tucker Martine, produced by Wayne Horvitz and featuring Zony Mash and members of Black Cat Orchestra.
