Michael Feldman, host of public radio's "Whad'ya Know?" has been writing songs with John Sieger since the mid-70s. Her Country is a collection of all new Feldman/ Sieger tunes recorded in Springfield, Missouri with Sieger backed up by rock n' roll genuises The Skeletons. The songs are poignant, salty and hilarious with a twisted logic that Feldman, The Groucho of The Midwest, applies shamelessly.

Michael Feldman
Michael Feldman was born the youngest of 4 sons to David and Geraldine Feldman of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and the only one not to have a degree in the healing or litigating arts to fall back on. He has been a high school English teacher, cab driver, and radio personality, off and on, since 1977, currently hosting "Whad'ya Know?," nationally, on public radio (although not on National Public Radio). His song writing credits with John Sieger include "That White Boy (Isn't Good for You)," "If My Old Man Were Alive Today This World Would Kill Him Quick," and "Salty Tears," most of the earnings of which went to a guy with the same name living in Florida. He is married with two girls, Ellie and Nora, and lives in Madison, Wisconsin.

John Sieger
John Sieger was born number 5 of 7 kids to Al and Martha Sieger in Kenosha, Wisconsin, and the only one not to have an actual marketable skill to fall back on. His band Semi-Twang recorded the critically-acclaimed "Salty Tears" for Warner Bros. Records in 1988 and artists like Dwight Yoakam, Jerry Harrison, The BoDeans, Robbie Fulks and Flaco Jimenez have recorded his songs. In a never-ending effort to make a living in music, he plays in mutiple bands and has developed a songwriting workshop to teach others how to prosper as he has. He is married to Linsey, they have one son, Sam, and live in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

The Skeletons
Lou Whitney and D. Clinton Thompson make up the nucleus of the entertainment juggernaut known to roots/garage rock fans alternately as The Skeletons or The Morells. When joined by drummer Bobby Lloyd Hicks and keyboardist Joe Terry, who spend part of their time on the road with Dave Alvin, they don their capes and assume the identity of The Skeletons. Active in Springfield, Missouri and the rest of the country since the mid-seventies, they burrow deep into the great American songbook and their overactive imaginations to create some truly deranged rockabilly, solid rhythm and blues and authentic sounding (but somewhat warped) country. Mike and John, both longtime fans, knew from the first song they needed to have the Springfield Sound to make the project work.
