"There are players out there and there are artists...Sierra is an artist. She has so much raw talent and feel. These are things that can't truly be taught, you either have it or you don't. I've worked with some of the top people in the industry including U2, Madonna, Earth Wind and Fire, and many others and feel like I know real talent when I hear it." - Mike McKnight
Born and raised in rural Connecticut, Sierra grew and matured to become a self-reliant musical artist as well as an innovative lyricist. At twelve, she received the gift of a classical guitar from her father, a musician himself, which allowed her to create a unique, rhythmic sound and style. Growing up, she adapted quickly to an acoustic Folk-Rock sound. After the sudden death of her brother in 1996, she was able to find her voice through music. Fueled by her passion for music, she has been inspired to create works of art that tell the tale of her life.
In 1999, Sierra recorded her solo album Depleted Oxygen with producer Michael Mendell in New York City. Since recording this album, Sierra has grown both as a songwriter and musician through her weekly gigs and unrelenting passion. She has studied with artists while attending the National Guitar Workshop and attending weekly songwriting classes with Narissa Nields. Sierra's enthusiasm for creating and performing music is not only what makes her unique, but shows her to be a truly wonderful entertainer. Through her expressive lyrics and composition, Sierra allows her audiences an honest glimpse of her soul as well as the ability to open themselves to their own.
