Mickey was born and raised in New Oleans La and began playing piano at age eight. By his mid-teens he was backing up Brew Moore at the Gunga Din on Bourban Street,Bob Manning at the Show Bar, Arthur Prysock at Jim's Plaza, the Roy Liberto Band and Chuck Credo Band.At the famous Pat O'Brien's he took the day's off for Mercedes, Sue and Maryjane. He also worked with Ted Lewis and Ted Weems.During his fourteen and a half years as pianist with the Air Force Band, Mickey had his own band named "The Stereos", worked opposite Herb Alpert, Louis Arstrong and played tri-state clinics with Buddy Defranco,Remo Belli and Don Jacoby, Stan Getz and Bobby Brookmeyer at the Tiffany Lounge, and other great guests including June Christy.About Twenty five years ago he landed in the Pacific Northwest his misic continuing to delight everyone. To his credit he's played the Oregon Coast, Washington Coast, Everett, Umatilla Vancouver Wa. and locally the Airpport Shilo Inn, Trianon,Galleria, Nordstroms, Tony Romas, Montgomery Park and The Pac West Center plus many more.His tremendous repertoire, jazz flavor, and awesome left hand walking bass and infectious personality have kept him very busy through the years.With tremendous support from his loyal fan base, friends, loving wife Kathy and family he has finally made this, his first album aptly titled "At Last" with many more to follow.These fourteen songs are some of his many arrangements. What a gift for all of us to enjoy.

Mickey is the best piano player in Portland. I last heard him at Wilf's Restaurant in the Union Station March 2011
Great style, modulating to different keys and great tunes. Played softly: so many players play too loud!
When the session was over we visited about his long interesting career. He has lots of interesting stories.Best regards
