Vector Sigma:
His inner ear is constructed of Chicago sewer caps, inner city plumbing, and rat holes with the ability to arrange both dark beats like the soundtrack to a homicide, melodies to ease a broken heart, or plain old radio-rockin block-hoppin heart-beat stopping tracks.
Used to go by the name "Mimic" because of his ability to mimic tracks in the similar style of any producer around.
Born over 2 decades ago with a light sensitive eye condition, he hates the fact that people mistake his prescription tinted glasses as an "ego thing."
Yet meditations and knowledge of the Astral Planes of God have enabled Sigma to walk the fine line between true humbleness and false ego.
Born and raised in the bad parts of Chicago, Sigma achieved a level of streets smarts, the art of talking, and knowing when to stay quiet.
Yet being hassled by kids over his mysterious mix of nationalities, he surrounded himself with the people who were doing things at an early age.
The Key is to blend in to the streets like a chameleon and then you see things happen.
The discipline that is Vector Sigma is leaving his Cuban queen after 7 years as a sacrifice for music.
The discipline is surviving a broken home with a father in jail.
The discipline is ducking bullets, talking your way out of a gun to your head, passing classes, all while maintaining late night sessions with the beloved MPC3000.
With an arsenal of over 10,000 records, an imagination beyond infinity, and a constant supply of shrooms, meditations, and life lessons, it's no wonder this man wanders the earth with wax deranging manipulative structures and an unpredictable personality only comparable to a dark Jim Carrey during an episode of depression.
Jumping out of vans at 40 m.p.h. for no reason what so ever, disappearing from his own parties only to reappear a year later, and ordering food at a restaurant to stare at it for a few hours has led to speculation and rumors of a different nature.
Sigma's recent 18 day fast can only make you think twice about what sonic delights lay saved on the electrical outlet for this manipulative soul symphonic organic man from countless lands abound.
Vector Sigma Presents, The Key Volume 1 1000% pure unadulterated Chicago Hip Hop at its greatest circa 2001-2002.
The best emcees of the city join forces with Sigma to create a jaw stomping retrospective piece of work acting as a time capsule for the beginning of a new century.
The album includes appearances by J.U.I.C.E., Qwel, Pugslee Atomz, Lord360, Nova ILLa, Frontline emcee's JDoubleU and H.e.l.l.s.e.n.t., O Type Star, Rhymefest, Wordz, All Natural, Mr. Greenweedz, Atma, Thawfor, Costume, Earatik Statik, Infinito, and many more treats.

This c.d. is very nice . The production is very different and constantly morphing . I genuinely like it and so do my
friends who are avid hip-hop scholars . We all agree that
Nova Illa deserves major attention .

Decent beats great M.C.s
author: Bly Newman
I Dig this c.d. I just picked one up from Grammaphone . The
beats I must admit were kinda strange but the m.c.s make this a great buy . J.u.i.c.e. and Rhymefest shine as usual
but that kid Nova ILLa is like the street version of Rakim,
he takes this disc over the top .
