Album Notes

Live Trilogy is a document of Live performances between 1998 and 2004. These performances are 100% improvisational.

"Turbiinisali" is the opening of our concert at Koneisto festival in Helsinki. Jukka Mikkola interviewed us at backstage and played our concert in YLE-radio "Space Junk".

"The Sea" was also composed and performed at Koneisto festival but this recording is from Töölönlahti Art Garden. We played inside Kazuo Makiokas spiral stone-garden "Karesansui". There was a good spirit in this concert. Listeners was served with coffee and Live music. We had dozens of candles all over the place (thanks to Ville Ojajärvi).

"From Afternoon To Evening" is part of composition for Ambient Talvipuutarha where we played two days in this botanical garden in Helsinki. We played in the big hall and put sound-installations on two other smaller spaces in garden (you can hear these in this recording on hard left and right sides). Stereo-microphone recorded this whole thing in the middle of big hall (in the bushes).

"Meteor" was composed for Live happening Tram-n-Bus in Lasipalatsi Helsinki (Tram-n-Bus is about recording sounds of public transportation and making music out of it). This happening was streamed live to internet.

"Drone", "Shimmer" and "Meditation" are recorded in "Koetila" Helsinki (small space we hired for weekend-long ambient-happening). Visuals by Ojajärvi/Keski-Korsu. We invited Kimmo Kajasto (from Koneveljet trio) to play with us and he brought his Laptop full of interesting sounds ("Shimmer").

"Pleistocene" was composed and performed originally at Koneisto festival but this recording is from Kanneltalo in Helsinki. We played almost four hours non-stop with live visuals by Ville Ojajärvi and Mari Keski-Korsu.
