Signifire, 1/5th of Indigenous Womb and 1/12th of the Inklings Massive steps back in the booth for his 2nd solo studio album… Once making DJ MSP's prestigious list of ‘The top 20 best MCs you’ve never heard of’ at the #2 slot, Signifire thought 20 was too gracious and added a hundred and change to his ranking for the album’s title. The album features 3 tracks of Signifire's patented '4-bar-flow' (which he claims will become popular in commercial rap in 2010) and a host of alternative and soulful guests slots… Production is handled by Young Raven, DJ Form and DJ Multiple Sex Partners… Upon the release Signifire had ‘no comment’ raising his umbrella over his face to avoid the media frenzy while simultaneously sipping a bottle of $4 wine… Reps in the Signifire camp said he will soon be returning to the studio to finish up a project with the Inklings and to begin his next solo venture ‘I swear I can rap.’ Stay tuned…

An album that proves any naysayers wrong. Direct and to the point,
author: John Book, Music For America
Who is the G.O.A.T.? Who reigns supreme over all? It definitely isn't Signifire, and that's not an insult, in fact he doesn't mind that he isn't up there. But he does have skills, and proves it on his second album, The 147th Best MC You've Never Heard Of... (Inklings Massive).
As he says in "Re-Introduction", he has a "crazy way with the words", and he's also a bit crazy and crafty at the same time, not afraid to make fun of the next fool or himself. A song like "She's Beautiful" shows how he can have a split personality, where on one end he's talking about what he looks for in a woman and how he executes his mission with kung fu moves, only to say that he doesn't mind a woman who drinks more than him. "Come To Pass" has him flowing smoothly over a jazzy groove while he reminisces about a lost love, only to flip his ways yet again with "Not Your Gentleman", where he's introducing himself to your wife.
Signifire is very impressive, his lyrics are well throughtout like an experienced storyteller, nothing is done in a half-ass manner even as he may touch upon his half-ass demeanor. I hate the term "nerdcore", but I will say that Signifire doesn't fit that category, as his songs are direct and to the point. When he gets crafty, you may or may not know it, and that's the art of this kid. The album also has great production from Young Raven, DJ Form, DJ Multiple Sex Partners, and Manifest. I wanted to hear more but there's only 28 minutes of music. The full length will prove the naysayers wrong, but the naysayers-to-be aren't even listening to him. Their loss.
