Album Notes

Formed in the summer of 2000, signsedso has been constantly playing shows, sculpting thier sound, and recording and self- releasing demos and E.P.'s. With the release of their first full-length effort in late 2002, captivate is just what signsedso do. Recorded in a sleepless week at Eight Houses Studio in Denver, the self-titled album is laden with the hope and vehemence of a young punk band, yet characterized by the tone and calculation of a veteran rock wonder. This must-have is a balanced battle between sensitive articulation and unadulterated intensity. A recipe of fervent emotion with a splash of sounds-good feeling, the album embodies the forgotten spirit of Rock 'n Roll. An honest work; a demonstration in uncompromising passion. For fans of
Sunny Day Real Estate & Weakerthans to Jawbreaker & Archers of Loaf.

"a B+...The up-and-coming Sunset Alliance-signed band's album is filled with beautiful melodies and heartfelt lyrics, giving it an indie-rock vibe...it very well could be the next Fivespeed for Sunset Alliance."

I hear the WEAKERTHANS & SUNNY DAY R.E. in this new indie band. The songs are well-written and interesting. They definitely show promise. It’s a really good debut. (LD)

this up and coming band originally from Normal, IL, (transplanted to Arizona, and transplanted back to IL) is impressive. i'v seen them play a number of times, and this album captures what they are: a tight, LOUD, rock outfit! they combine just the right mix of loud-soft, fast-slow mechanics. Add in some vocals drenched with feeling and you got an incredible debut. comparable to maybe archers of loaf covering sunny day songs. definately check it out. chad harper.
