Do You Remember When
"This has been a longtime dream of mine come true. I have written the music and lyrics for all the songs on this CD, and I have a wonderful singer, Patricia Long, and great piano and bass players Bob Vigoda (piano) and Sy Zucker (bass). These are longtime musical colleagues of mine, and their performance is just perfect. I'm playing alto saxophone, and I couldn't have asked for a better group of musicians to interpret my music.
Over a period of many years I have played behind many of the great singers of our era; Nat King Cole, Johnny Mathis, Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr., Peggy Lee, Steve Lawrence and Eydie Gorme, Pearl Bailey and Tony Bennett. I have also played with guitarist Charlie Byrd, drummer Louis Bellson, and other great players for many musical and TV productions.
After playing music written by others, I wanted to create something of my own; a legacy, so to speak. So finally, here it is! Please enjoy it with me."

sweet breeze from retro-land
author: Lucian Caspar
As good as the old stuff, except it's new. Like hearing the greats of yesterday in a brand-new copy. Bob Silverstein may be adding to the classics. Every song at the same, professional level. A joy to listen to, whether in the background or with full attention. A sweet, sad breeze from retro-land, transporting you to the good, oh-so classy days.

Perfect CD for a rainy afternoon
author: Mark Turner
A fine set of beautiful love songs. The word ‘haunting’ in the CD Baby description describes perfectly the combination of Bob Silberstein’s beautiful tone on the alto sax and Patricia Long’s singing. My own favorite is “Once Again”, but the whole CD sets a wonderful mood.
