Album Notes

Music and the tightrope walker dare to connect the invisible between these aspects of the lived life. In the true spirit of adventure Silence-is-Treason—in the flux of rock, punk, dance, electronic mutation, and poetry—has stepped heel-toe heel-toe onto the line.

Is it art? Is it fun? Is it politics? What is this beast that surfs the air and reaches into the heads of complete strangers?

Classically trained at the Musician's Institute of Los Angeles and following the path of Ph.D., this trio must seem almost schizophrenic to the first-time viewer. With drum kit and electronic trigger side-by-side, Dominic, releases snare, hi hat, and thunder seamlessly with the fluid movement of drumsticks. Donato, a guitar in one hand, a keyboard in the other, and a bass hovering somewhere just within reach, dabbles in classical gypsy one moment and punk rock the next. And Omar waves his hands through the air while he sings and forces the Theremin and Air-Synth to both bleep and cry without the slightest hint of actually touching the instruments.

A surprise set at Coachella, playing Warped tour dates across the country, and the release of their debut album have all speckled 2005 a motley hue for Silence-is-Treason.
