Album Notes

This motion picture soundtrack contains 70+ minutes of psychedelic, acoustic, and country rock from the new film, 'I Want To Blow Up Silicon Valley.'

The six band compilation features artists and songs which are currently heard echoing throughout the Santa Cruz Mountain Region.

Relix Magazine has called Gary Gates' music stunning and praised Mark Binion of the Mark Reid Band for his out-of-this-world keyboard work. The Deadhead publication has also reviewed Hot Trivet as 'electrifying...(the band) has garnered a dedicated following and is awaiting the next big step.' David Elias has been compared to John Prine and Bob Dylan.

'I Want To Blow Up Silicon Valley,' the award-winning feature debut from writer/director Jason Ward, has screened at festivals throughout the country and internationally, most recently at the 2001 Brazil International. The film shows a local perspective of the late 90's dot-com culture which invaded Northern California and features the most sought after music in the Bay Area.
