SILVER songs are driving and elastic and sweep you up before you're ready. Their style mixes slamming danceable rock songs with heartbreaking melodies. SILVER's originality makes it difficult to draw comparisons to other bands, but the songs are hauntingly familiar - as if you heard them in a daydream.

Singer, songwriter and guitarist, Brandon McCulloch, writes songs in his apartment in central Hollywood's "Villa Elaine". McCulloch is currently putting the finishing touches on their second album entitled 'The Trial of Thomas St. James' - a record co-produced with Robbie Adams (U2, Smashing Pumpkins), featuring David Palmer on drums (The The) and Jason Hiller on bass. Brandon and Jason have performed as SILVER at the Viper Room, Dragonfly, Mumba and many other LA/Southern California venues over the last 5 years.

In April of 2002, SILVER's self-released album 'Red City' met rave reviews from LAWeekly - "one of the best bands languishing in obscurity... sophisticated chord changes and instrumental bridges... trademarked by the fluidity of McCulloch's voice spilling over, as if the music were a ledge".

Their first single "Temporary Girl" reached number one in the Reader's Choice section of NY's Bumrock.com (drawing a larger popular vote than The Strokes, Weezer, and other top bands) and is rapidly gaining college radio airplay. Their video for 'Suspicious' is feverishly being passed around on the internet. SILVER's bulletin board is full of people at all hours of the day, discussing the band, the next record, and life in general. For information, please contact info@silvermusic.us.

Red City is a great CD. I love a band that can keep my attention for a whole CD. I have recommended Red City to all my friends (and CD Baby). Thanks for the great music.

'Boozefighter' and 'Smooth Ride' are worth the price of the CD alone. Everything else is a great bonus.

Red City passes my rigorous five point CD inspection. It's perfect to listen to while: 1. on the road 2. getting ready for a night out 3. hanging out with my friends 4. doing my art 5. working out at the gym AND the lead singer's voice is drop-dead gorgeous!

This is a brilliant CD. The lyrics are intelligent and rich in imagery. There is an urgency, a certain thrust, that challenges us to work harder, dream bigger, fight smarter and live more aware.
